Julie McGregor’s Morefair Stud commenced in 1979, with the arrival of the perfect excuse – a daughter. Hence Glenmore Fairy, an Australian Pony was purchased and ‘Morefair’ was on its way. In 1981 the stud moved from NSW back to Julie’s home state of WA, firstly to Moora then to its current home in Bullsbrook. Whilst Julie had previously bred Australian Ponies and the Australian Stock Horse, it was in 1983 when the Welsh Section B would commence their now sole preoccupation, with the purchase of the darling little mare, Lilydale Prosperity. Prosperity remained the stud matriarch until her peaceful passing in 2002, aged 24.

The Stud prides itself in producing high calibre performance ponies. From top class Show & Harness ponies, to showjumpers, pony club champions and even polocrosse!

The majority of our breeding mares themselves have been proven saddle competitors, Primrose being the exception (owing to time restraints). All have been shown in hand.

Morefair is only a small stud where temperament is always a must before beauty, a rule we strictly adhere to. We are justifiably proud of the successof our ponies bred over time.
